The motan Group, with its headquarters in Constance on Lake Constance in Germany, was founded in 1947. As the leading provider of sustainable materials handling, the company is active in injection moulding, blow moulding, extrusion and compounding, in-line systems and chemicals. Part of the application-orientated product spectrum are innovative modular systems solutions for storage, drying, and crystallisation, conveying, dosing and mixing for the plastics manufacturing and processing industries. Production takes place at various locations in Germany, India and China. motan distributes its products and systems solutions via its regional motan-colortronic centers. Currently, more than 500 employees contribute to an annual turnover of approximately 100 million Euros. METRO HES/MES – SINGLE PHASE LOADERS
Easy to install and simple to operate. Material is delivered exactly when needed keeping machines running and avoiding costly downtime. Material wastage is eliminated and the workspace is kept clean and safe.
MINICOLOR V – VOLUMETRIC ADDITIVE DOSING UNITS
The demand for an excellent mixing quality and consistently accurate dosing is a must when combining additives with the virgin material at the processing machine.The volumetric dosing and mixing unit MINICOLOR V meets and exceeds these requirements. Mounted between the machine hopper and the feed throat of the machine, it requires very little space.
LUXOR – DRY AIR DRYERS
Dryer for maximum efficiency and minimum operating maintenance. Multiple material bins connected to one dry-air generator provides our customers with maximum flexibility and no interruption to production. Drying can continue while material is changed in any one bin, minimising loss of valuable production time during material changes.
METRO HES 50 - Single-phase hopper loader
METRO HES 50 are fitted with an integrated vacuum motor, large filter and easy to operate controller. The conveying times are adjustable. An alarm indicates insufficient material. The units can be mounted onto a machine hopper or material hopper. Automatic filter cleaning by compressed air blasts after every conveying cycle. Suitable for virgin and regrind. With METROMIX connection and sound insulation hood. Equipped with a large stainless steel discharge flap to ensure trouble-free operation.
MDE 40 - Mobile compact dryer
The mobile compact dryer MDE 40 generates 40 m³/h of dry air, the ideal amount for the production of small precision parts.The dry air generator can be equipped with one or two fully insulated drying bins to suit the required total throughput. Temperature is set directly at the drying bin, where the process heater is also arranged. This allows for maximum flexibility.

MINICOLOR V - Volumetric dosing and mixing unit
Mounted between the machine hopper and the feed throat of the plastics processing machine the MINICOLOR requires very little space. A stainless steel cruciform in the mixing throat divides the main component into two streams of material. They flow together with the additives at the feed inlet producing a homogeneous mixture. Depending on need and requirement, screw or disc dosing units can be installed at the mixing neck.

Total throughput: 120 kg/h
In order to dry hygroscopic plastics for small material throughputs or stand-alone applications, motan has developed the new LUXOR E A and LUXOR EM A.
